Winter's Oath

It is a time to shiver
Be grateful to live
Though skin and bone quiver
Always more to give

Take the time you hold
To learn what is dear
Stand up bold
And winter song do hear

Listen to her quiet
For in your mind she'll toil
Within her crystal sight
Oh how your soul will boil

Come to understand
For at the very last
Blessing in the land
After winters fast

Whispers

Floating on a gentle breeze
Dancing hither to
Floating over whispered seas
Oh so very teasing you

Nightingales sing their song
Whispers floating by
Makes my heart strain and long
To be in your arms as we fly

Oh how strong our hearts beat
Dancing through meadow grass
Like the whispers of pitter pattered feet
Flitting over a lake as smooth as glass

How I wonder when I look into these stars at night
To curl your hair around my finger
To kiss you oh so light
On your cheek with much tender

You are a delight to me you know
The way you make my heart sing
You help me to live and to grow
And see every special thing

Whispers glide upon the breeze
Twisting in and out of crevassed tree
How they whisper to make me see
How much you really mean to me

What My Heart Feels

The gentle embrace of bee to flower
The graceful caress of weather’s shower
A bird sings a lullaby
To each and every passerby
Ti’s what my heart feels when I think of you

The feel of puppy tongue on nose
The Oak, oh how strong it grows
A flower’s sweet fragrant smell
The sound of ringing bell
Ti’s what my heart feels when I think of you

Mountain high and valley fell
The turtle hiding in it’s shell
A rabbit with fluffy tail so white
And Nature in all of it’s wondrous might
Ti’s what my heart feels when I think of you

To grow in wisdom share
To let you know that I care
A song of joyful sound
From a heartbeat deep in the ground
Ti’s what my heart feels when I think of you

To One

A leaf falls
Drifting down on winds embrace
Dancing too and fro
Autumn’s begun
The forest is still
Bated breath and whispered song
A sound only imagined

The beauty
Yellow
Red
Gold mixed with green

A blanket on the ground
Fallen leaves
A crunch of twig
Passersby

Scurrying, scuttling, hiding
Little ones watch from hidden alcoves
A sniffing nose and twitching tail
Is it safe?
Yes

How little we tried
When Love has looked us in the eye
To understand said Love
But still; must we try?
Yes

We are wondering souls
And no one further knows
But love will to what it Will
And no matter what we want,
It will show
That every little thing matters
To One

To Cure Her of Human’s Wrong

Whispers on gentle wind
Whiskers light touch, shivers do send
A melody to you impart
The strings of my heart

Beautiful summer days long
Ringing with a wonderful song
Of waterfall’s cascading grace
Deep in this wondrous place

Nature in all of it’s resplendence
Dancing in winsome silence
To show to you through eloquent eyes
What is beyond her disguise

Let your breath and heart be still
And listen now if you will
To the song of the meadow lark
As it turns to light from dark

If you listen close you will see
How it is meant to be
The closeness of natures embrace
Swaying to her gentle pace

Green light shining through leaf
Will wash away your troubles and your grief
And the ground under your feet
Will hold up a strong stone for your seat

So when nature calls to you in your sleep
To travel her paths of wisdom winding oh so deep
Then enjoy this dream for a while
And let your soul smile

For you are held dear to my heart
And to you my feelings I impart
To show you Nature’s beauty through my songs
And help cure her of human’s wrongs

The Willow

Straight and powerful there she stood
Arms stretched against the wind
Her strength and might oh so good
Strong enough to bend

How the wind did rage
And how it did howl
To bring down she of age
To smite asunder limb and bough

But on she prevailed
Through the tempest oh so fury
Though mightier have failed
And of them earth did bury

So she stood that night
A sentinel to the light
To strengthen all that might
Upon her lay their sight

And there she stands today
A beacon to behold
Never far away
A blessing to be told

The Song

When I sing of marshes sweet
My heart is filled with merriment
When I sing of Merry Meet
I dance with joyful excitement

To be one and one with all
Makes my heart glad
But to be all in one is a ball
And no more to be sad

Live our lives for love
And sing on height
Love is as the dove
Full of strength and might

The Journey

Birds fly on frozen day
With south on their mind
Warm as spring and days of May
Together with like kind

Migrating long and hard
To be with fellow fowl
Listening to gull and bard
Onward even through weather foul

How I long to be with thee
As in days of spring
Now it is I think of thee
On golden shore I sing

The Breeze Whispers To Me

The breeze whispers
Telling secrets of a long ago age
Of silent feet and whiskers
Of twitching tail and ancient knowledge

How I felt this night long ago
When the stars spoke of light and song
To know that through time I would go
To face many trials some short and others long

I live this life now
With you on my mind
I thank the gods for bringing you to me and I bow
To honor their guiding me to you to find

That life means more to me now that you are in it
A life worth much more then living
For you are to me a benefit
Who opens my heart for the giving

I don’t think I’ve told you lately how wonderful you are
So, let me say it at this time
You are better than any by far
Because you are the stitch in my side and the twinkle of my eye

I long to hold you close to my side
To dance with you under a canopy of moonlight
I want by your side to abide
And feel your warmth and might

But try as I might, I cannot express what you mean to me
The way you make me smile
I think of you and my heart melts with glee
And I would with you walk any country mile

So although I might not always write
You are never far from my present thoughts
I see a rabbit and I smile for I see you in it reflected
I hear a mocking bird sing and I grin for I hear your voice

And while some of these verses do not rhyme
I must ask you to forgive me this choice
For I’ve run out of things to say
Other than that I love who you are as you are

You mean so much to me
And I hope to someday help you see
That I can be for you what you are to me
But for now I will just think of you and smile with glee

Thanks

The passage of time
has but slowed to crawl,
in memory of days past
and love that binds.
The loving touch of a
mother’s hand,
the discipline of a
father’s words;
molds the mind of
child.
The care and tears when
in hospital lay,
the hope and fears
of what will come.
Thoughts and prayers,
clinging to side of bed, till
morning come and healthiness find
in cheek.
Blessings come in many packages
and one I cannot deny: Is the
blessing in you of God and man
in lessons learned and knowledge
gained.
How to love; how to pray; how
to play and how to let go.
Many things I’ve learned and
your example is the well
of means gained.
Yours is the good things
life bestows.
Thank you mom and dad.

Swimming Hole

It stood over the dark swirling water
like a sentinel to forlorn wishes.

Swimming all natural
as the day of birth was.
Cooling and caressing
Dark Waters eddy,
surrounding root and knot
in a loving embrace
before drifting along.

Dean would disturb
this vortex with a huge splash
disappearing under the opaque
currents
come up sputtering
and clamber for bank.

“Get in the water
a car is comin”
is all he’d say
to warn of exposure.
All would dive in and wait
for dust to settle and
return to normal.

It was a good life.

I’ve seen that bridge since
and wonder how things might've
been different
had we noticed the alligator
sunning on the bank.

Sweet Mother

Sing to us a song sweet Mother
Evening is come, dark and quite
Even' finds us all together
So rest for it is night

Sing to us a song sweet Mother
Evensong ringing in the dell
Soft and sweet be the weather
On gentle breezes leaf has fell

Sing to us a song sweet Mother
For in your bosom we rest
Soft and warm the downy feather
Protected by your breast

Sing to us a song sweet Mother
For tonight we sleep in thee
Tomorrow soon shall come with Father
And be busy as the bee

Swamp Song

A grasshopper chirps
A bull frog burps
The bog is alive

A blackbird sings
A honeybee brings
Nectar to her hive

A carp roles water
A crayfish plays potter
The bayou will thrive

A man glides along
A chant or a song
To keep the marsh alive

A tale he would tell
A child held under his spell
Of King Fisher's dive

Smoking --a Haiku

cherry glowing red
burning, smoking, and stinking
burned clothes, stained teeth, dead

Rhythem

I understand the rhythm now
It lodged in my brain
from when I was very little
and kept me awake at night.

I would lie in bed long
after everyone else fell asleep
listening
to the thump, thump,
thump that pulsed in my ears.

Sometimes it was so loud
I’d cover my head with a pillow
to keep the whole family
from waking
with thoughts of the End Times
raging in their heads.

They never woke though—
leastwise not from the pounding
in my ears.

Years passed before
I discovered it was my heart
tattooing a lullaby to my soul—
the gentle rhythm of the Earth's
song.

Questioning

Everything I thought I knew
I find to be an illusion
There is much I would like to know
much I don’t understand
and I cannot help but wonder
if it is all but a dream
an alternate reality
with no substance

I want to hear my mother’s voice again
I need to hear he call my name
to know she is there
to feel her touch
to have an open conversation with
the one person on this earth
who has ever really
known me

If god truly exist
how can he stand by and be so
Disconnected
to the pain
of his subjects?

I know this life is not perfect
it was never meant to be
and I understand that
people go through far worse
than what I have

Is it wrong to be so
selfish?
Mom could be in a far worse off state
but she is not.
She could be in pain
but she is not.
She simply isn’t there
except in body alone

Passage

I sit atop this dais
Been waiting here oh so long
Then the setting sun's radiance
Sets the forest into song

Sing for me Oh Little Ones
For I feel so alone
Sing of lighter times Oh Little Ones
For soon I too must journey on

The day is dimming
In brilliant colors gay
Soar high Oh My Spirit singing
And touch the hand of Fay

Set for me this day Oh Father
Amid this assembled throng
Quench the fire, bright and fair Oh Father
And release me in a song

Pan’s Heart Strings

To sing as one voice
I gladly present this choice
Listen to my heart strings
As our souls begin to sing

Lots of things in life bring me joy
Simple things that I pick up to employ
And the most complex yet simple of these
Is in your eyes reflected; the Universe’ seeds

You I create with My Will
And your soul I do fill
Light bounds off all things
To illuminate the harpers strings

What is this I hear:
The sound of shepherd flutes do bear?
The trill of ringing bell;
Echoing around the dell!

Lightening flashes lighting the whole sky
Wind and willow slashes branches as they fly
The tempest rages and storms on
But shelter will I provide until the dawn

When the sun doth shine once more
And upon valley’s breezes Pan’s great flute bore
Calling all to the morning dance
To play and be gay, away from toil and chance

Never you change from this loving person

Light shines on my soul
It lifts me up and makes me bold
This light is you

A wind blows and cools me
It soothes my fears and calms my feet from wanting to flee
This wind is you

Water washes over me cooling my skin
It is refreshing as it lets me in
This water is you

The Earth under my feet brings sustenance to my being
It bears up my soul and gives a song for me to sing
This Earth is you

The Universe call my name
And beckons to my spirit to soar once again
You guessed it! This Universe is you too.

I cannot express what you mean to me
Nor do I know how to make you see
That life would be dull and awful without you in it
And would leave me in my sorrow to sit

You are a wonder to me for you reveal life
And even though sometimes I face grief and strife
I know you are there to lift me up with your smile
For you’ve sung with me all the while

Never you change from this loving person
Except to grow and expand your horizon
Understand that I want you in my life to be:
As a friend, or as a lover, or as my personal poochie...

My Wings I Fold

With understanding he swings my way
To lift up my spirit to fly all day

I know he sees me when I fall
And I know he will bear me up and help me stand tall

He is my life and my will
He helps to make me strong and still

He understand my need
And helps me to see

That life is here for all to know
With the blessings that he bestows

When I’m down and don’t know which way to turn
He calls my name and helps me to learn

So I listen with all my will
That he may my heart with his love fill

To know him is to know a love I can understand
To be with him is to sing and know I am a man

He is wonderful in my sight to behold
A God so powerful in who’s presence my wings I willingly fold

My Heart Sings To You

Delicately it hangs swaying in the breeze
Intricately woven glistening in the morning dew

Pearls of silver glide down its paths
Intersecting, traversing, and twisting their way along

Birds sing their lullaby from way up on high
Light refracts off the prisms of a butterfly’s wing

The sweet gurgle of Spring’s brook
Babbling to you the Faerie Tail of ages

Listen now with your eyes to all of Natures beauty
See it all unfold with your ears as the dancing of the lullaby's notes

My heart sings to you this song of joy
Your soul, My soul, dancing together on the white carpeted clouds

With you I’d gladly entwine to feel our beauty within.
Take my hand and with me stand on this river’s shore

My Beautiful Mother

Of days looking back I remember
On my childhood oh so sweet
Many thing from then I could surrender
And demons could I meet

But there was one that was always around
To be my guiding sheltering light
Sweet and melodious was the sound
Her voice a pure delight

Strong she expressed her will with love
With grace to her kin
Hand bare or covered in glove
But my bottom needed it then

To me she passed unsurmounted wisdom
With kind and gentle word
So I would know how to conquer that demon
And let my spirit wing like a bird

Little did I know or understand
The wisdom that she shared
But now my spirit is glad to stand
And as a witness to her bare

My loving mother oh so dear
How sweet she is to me
But now it is time I stand without fear
And be fore her what she was for me

Monkey

Swinging branch to branch, agile, free
Monkeys grooming, community, and troops you see

Cherry glowing red, burning, smoking
Stained fingers, stained teeth, stinking

Laughing, chattering, monkeys love to play
Sitting and socializing all the day

One beer, two, then gone: “where's that case?” Smack!
Beat wife, slap child, pass out – Monkey on your back.

Maybe Someday

I cry myself to sleep at night,
And I cannot slumber that you do not enter my dreams.
I listen to my heart beating and I hear yours.
My soul molds to yours and intertwines in eddies of desire –
The desire of the cosmos.
I see a flower blossom in your smile,
And this helps me understand the miracle of life.
Galaxies swirl in your eyes,
For when I listen to the strains of your voice, I hear Woden speaking,
And the caress of Dianna is in your touch
Which makes me long to hold you tight.
Our intimacy is my tonic and my salve.

Some say that if they could,
They would move mountains for the one they love.
I would move the Universe itself.
As time goes by –
As the years have passed –
I’ve only grown fonder of you.
My love has never faltered –
It has never strayed –
It has only expanded to fill my entire being,
And I cannot contain it any longer.
I feel as though it will never be,
And then I hope beyond hope that you will see –
How tenderly I could care for you –
How lovingly I would tend your needs –
How much I want and need you.

And while I know this poem is mushy and all of that
I cannot help myself, nor do I wish too.
I whisper a prayer that you will truly understand my love for you
For I cannot express how I feel:
Language fails me!
How do I adequately convey
The depth of my feelings for you?
If I could, if I knew how –
You would understand the way you move me –
The way you make me feel –
The way you melt my heart every time I look into your eyes.
I cannot help but think and hope and pray
That one day you will know.

Maiden Fair

I cradle you under my wing
And shelter you from your nightmare
Hold not back, but sing
For brighter days o’ maiden fair

Let My Spirit Sing To You

It is a mystery to me
But my heart has made me see
The grace of ages
That turns our pages

Life’s little turns
As the well of fortune churns
To bring together two of like soul
As our lives unfold

I give of myself to this man
To be as true a friend as I can
A blessing for us to hold
And reveal secrets untold

But this I promise you
To our friendship I'll be true
Soon our obstacles we'll see past
When we are together at last

Until then a candle will I light
That my spirit might take flight
To come to you at night
And in my dreams hold you tight

You are without a doubt the most wonderful man I’ve known
So let my heart to you be shown
The grace of love and kindness fair
That I willingly with you share

But no matter what becomes of this
Be it friendship or utter bliss
To your heart I will be true
So let my spirit sing to you

Innocent as the Dove

Crystals gaze deep and dark
Silvershine bright this night
Teach me Grandmother Moon to mark
The passage of my flight

Bring to me knowledge bare
The Truth of Wisdom's Song
To know with certainty what is fair
To rise and pass it on

With confidence now I go
Surefooted beyond the veil
To reap what I sow
To falter not, nor to fail

Until the light of Fathers Face I see
Clothed in Silvershine of Mothers Love
To stand exposed upon the sea
Innocent as the dove

If It You Will

Though tonight you may be full of pain and sorrow
There will always be a brighter tomorrow
Though it may hurt and make your heart bleed
In the morning the sunshine you will see

There is much we don't understand
But so much more we are willing to fend
Friends are as friends do they say
The little worthwhile things that keep the fear at bay

Listen to your heart and know
That love and friendship to you will show
The beauty that is around you still
And all this can be yours if it you Will

So make a wish and let it be true
That this wish will come to pass for you
For love and light shine on you still
And all this can be yours if it you Will

I Grew Up

There was a time –
when I knew what I was doing:

Then I grew up.

How Bored

I sat here on my chair
Trying to figure what to do
Looking at my hair
And thinking I’m even tired of this too

If I could have any color I desire
What color would my hair be?
Green! I thought but, No! That would be too dire
So that just wouldn’t be me

Then I thought of indigo
So serene and peaceful to be sure
But that would be too much of a glow
I’d think I was signaling off shore

Maybe yellow would do.
So golden it would be I thought
But no! Yellow is to much too
And so I decided to hit my cot

So I tossed and turned all night long
Fitful sleep had me bouncing in my bed
Thoughts zoomed in my mind like an elusive song.
Then sat bolt upright I did and said: I’ll make it red!

Gratitude

Gratitude comes with age

When I was young
I went after what I wanted
with little regard to
the consequences

Oh I was polite
so very polite
After all
honey attracts more bees
than vinegar

But as silver coursed my hair
what little hair I had left
I began to understand
yes understand
the Beauty life is

How precious a mother is
How irreplaceable a father’s love
The wisdom of a grandparents glance
Are all as dew on a petal
before Sunrise

Gratitude needs age

Ghost of an Oak

It is true what they say
About men's pleasures
How short his day,
And what he sees as treasures

I was born in the glade
From a seed so small
A miracle was made
When the acorn did fall

Wind did blow
And tucked me to bed
In Earth's bosom below
It covered my head

Water wet and sweet
Over me did seep
Until my heart beat
And woke me from sleep

Tall and strong I matured
High in the sky I stood
Till my head the clouds covered
And the breezes tickled me good

As I watched from my sentinel station
The days of men passed on
Roads they built to cover my basin
Wars raged and then were gone

A town around me thrived
And children in me played
With the breeze my branches sighed
And whispered goodnights I bade

He carved on me his pride
Though tough was my bark
With sap I wept and cried
But his passing did he mark

To an old man gave I shade
And squirrels climbed my side
A home for birds I made
And a cricket did I hide

So Man lived with me around
For more than a hundred years
But not one of them was found
To calm my many fears

To build their wealth
Many my fellows were taken
The air trembled with their death
And the ground for them was shaken

How than can I tell?
For dim or brilliant fools
When me they did fell
All to keep clean their damn pools

Fish Bone - Haiku

black water swirling
deep and dark enveloping
scales and bones lurk under

Dancing To The Great Pan’s Song

Green meadows sweet
A cushion under our feet
Daffodils bright in the shining sun
This spring has been sprung

Breezes sway the young spring grass
Play afield both goat and ass
Heavy with kid, burden dear
The playful Pan never to fear

Sing this day a joyful song
To the host of nature’s throng
Dance merrily in erotic pursuit
To Pan’s great musical flute

Flitting on wing this day
Is it butterfly or is it Fay
Lights buzzing around, while the circles swell
Shining throughout all the dell

Pan’s hooves beet the ground
Setting a percussion, moving sound
Stirs our spirits on singing soul
A wonderous sight to behold

Dance, dance the circle bare
Satyr after maiden fair
The circle of life moves on still
With love and light our souls shall fill

Late into the evening dark
We’ll fly like a dove and sing like a lark
The whole of woodland’s avid throng
Dancing to the Great Pan’s song

Till at last exhaustion prevails
And we hit the ground to ringing bells
To cuddle in loving embrace
To honor Pan after the chase

But A Phase

I flit, I fly, and I sit aside
To listen to the birch sing
The whistle of an ancient guide
And the tweeter on birds wing

Do I dare
To listen with need
My heart to bear
For the planting of a seed

Till one day my longing ceases
When upon your face I gaze
Tomorrow and today my past in pieces
For this life is but a phase

The Stripper

The stage touched
my knees
as he danced closer.

I’ve never before seen such grace.
Movements that should be
impossible.

How
does he do it?

He moves close
and stands
right
in
front
of
me,
gyrating as he
pulls his
G-String
down tantalizingly.

I gasp
at the sight
of neatly trimmed pubes.
Faintly visible is the
base of his cock,
Thick,
Slightly Turgid,
where it vanishes behind the shier fabric.

I stuff a $20 in
for an excuse to touch
HIS forbidden fruit

He smiles
And twist away looking
for the next person in line

God!
Such perfect buns!

Bogue Homa

The secrets of ages you keep
Under Spanish Moss gray
Back in the swamps so deep
Where we all loved to play

With happy voices you rang
And you swelled with our love
Under your trees our family sang
Innocent as the dove

Your colors were oh so green
Both in wood and field
Beauty to be seen
And destinies to build

Be now a blessing to our remembrance
Deep in your Southern sauna
In your forest dense
Oh sweet Bogue Homa

Beauty Is

Feet stumble on my course
cut and bruised
bleeding as a weeping heart
crushed by loves embrace.

Anguish lacking,
melancholy stilled,
balanced over the precipice
of oblivion.

How it takes my breath
to look into the eyes
of one Divine and
see the secret of
life
reflected there in darkness.
The secret is me
listening to the echo of
Creation
through my own heart
beat
beat
beat.

How beautiful is
the sound of your voice
echoed through mine.
How lovely the cords
that ring out in darkness of night;
soothing fear,
easing tension,
lessening strife.

An Evenings Passion

Trailing one finger down his spine
Listening to him breathe
A sigh of
contentment

Difficult to believe
but there it is
one
little act
of Passion
brings it all together

Tensing foot
curled toes
finger tracing his arch

Too relaxed to laugh or fight

Just a sigh of
contentment

All in a Day

A gentle morning
calming serenity, gentle babbles of brook and birds fly

Hot afternoon
honking horns, raw sewage, and an ugly gesture

Quite evening
crickets sing, fireflies dance, and clouds sail by

Muggy Midnight
guns fire, lady screams, a child dies

All I Want - A Teens Message for Adults

You never seem to understand
What it is like for me
All day you make your plans
And rarely listen to me

All I want is respect
But some days I want to flee
For life can never be this correct
And at times you need to let me be

When I look at you
This is what I see,
A person who is hurting too
Your actions speak loud to me,

When at last the day is done
What should I do?
Hurt silently until I’m numb
And wonder how I’ll get through.

A Shaman’s Wake

Life is still
Balance achieved with his Will
The heart’s thunderous cries
To the wake when a Shaman dies

Look now upon the bed
Where the drum beats on it is said
In mournful procession display
On the winds hollow scream this day

The village morns their loss
As the wheat is blown away in the toss
But mourning gives way and a smile does try
When hope is heard in a newborn’s cry

A Prayer to the Dragon Spirit

Dragon brother, sister, friend,
With you now may I ascend.
See the land through your eyes
As I soar with you through the skies
Lift me up upon your wing
And help me know what Fate may bring.

A Play on "A Man From Nantucket"

“There once was a man from Nantucket...”
Who dug in mud with a bucket
A mosquito bit and he slapped his head
And swore who would have thunk it.

A Goddess’s Exile

Ebbing into darkness beneath
She leaves without regret

Only this way
may she renew

For her children
She goes lamenting not

To sacrifice all
giving that one last ounce
for Love

A Days Contemplation

Winds change
lingering on the verge
of something great.
I look at my hands
and see epochs creeping,
how did I get this way?

Listening to my
own breath
the exchange of aged atmosphere
for fresh
and wondering
wondering
how mortal life is.
How experience
sharpens the mind
and lends to us a
wisdom shared.

Special are these moments
of deep contemplation.

The memories of
bonfires and streams of golden light.
How they interact with all
casting dark shadows
onto a darker
darkness around.

It gets lost!

Yes I hear it
the inhale of a new breath
the sigh of secrets kept
and the shout of musical
Discord.

How to tell
of all the days lost notes
gathered around
singing to one another and
hoping
for just a bit of recognition:
That tidbit of renown
that is so elusive.

A Day With A Friend

Hair wringing wet in the cooling breeze
Sweat coursed across our skin
But the garden looked good all planted with seed
And so I caressed your chin

Your eyes glinting with glee
You tickled my side
And though I tried to flee
I found I could not hide

For there you were tickling me again
My knees giving way as I sank to the ground
I laughed till I was certain I would go insane
Cause you can be such a clown

Panting I lay there all covered in grass
Looking up into your face
Just as I thought I would catch my breath
Your fingers again found my soft place

I laughed till I cried
As you tickled my side
Not much more of this can I abide!
Then finely laughing yourself you sat by my side

"Oh my God!" Was all I could say
To get even right then I didn't dare
It was all I could do to hold you at bay
As you growled like a bear

Your hands were quicker than mine
And my side they found once more
I would have given anything, even a dime
To tickle back this man I adore

"Stop it" I cried "I cant take anymore"
So you pulled me to my feet
Arm and arm we walk through the door
Smelling all sugary sweet

Let's take a shower I murmured
And you agreed with grace
So, stumbling to the bath I surrendered
To your loving embrace

A Circle Cant

Thirteen in circle
Hoods cover heads
Sway and chant arms laced as buckle
Marching, marching, marching til we go to our beds

All is somber wrapped in lace
Dance, dance, dance all in one place
Sing this chant and cover face
All together now keep the pace

Swing and sway and raise your hands
Stomp and hop and bend in two
Flow, flow, flow goes the time of sands
Swirling deeply round and round and all down through

Til at last comes the shout
Sore higher and higher to do our will
Release the energy, ti’s what it’s about
Then when all is done we all stand still

The Shapeshifter

He glides with
distracting grace
Tall
oh so tall
broad of shoulder
narrow waist
ripped

The sight of him
brings me
and I shudder
almost embarrassed
almost

I smile shyly
but meet his
startling orange eyes;
they match his hair

He smiles back
flashing a hint
of fangs

I melt as he approaches me

He extends his hand and
I take it.
He pulls me
to my feet
and
I lean into him

His aura washes over me
and I shiver
Ware tigers, I swear
So exotic

Leaning in
he purrs in my ear
speaking volumes
of lust
desires
and his urges

I whisper
YES!

The Mating

I stared
at him through
a haze of smoke.
My heart stopped
when our eyes meet.

He nods almost imperceptibly
almost.
Then he rises and sets his drink down.
Walking towards me he
grazes his fingers along my arm
as he passes for the door.

A second later I follow
but he is nowhere
to be seen.

My shoulders slump as I turn
only to be caught in his arms.

I gasp
inhaling his scent.
That perfect male musk

He laughs and lifts my face to his.
“Hello”.
His voice is soft,
deep
and sensuous

“Hi”
I mumble into his neck

He purrs in my ear
and I wonder how he can make such a
primal sound .
“Come home with me”.
It is as much a command
as it is a request

I stammer my consent.
I don’t know him
but I’m not afraid.

We disrobe
in his bedchamber
kissing
and
caressing
trailing light tickles
across each others
skin

I gasp as I feel sharp
but oh so tantalizing
nails trailing my back where
his fingers glide up my sides

He chuckles at the
quickening of my pulse
the hint of fear
that catches my breath

I yield to his need as
he lays me on his bed.
I cannot help but
give into his wants,
his desires
and his needs

His sex is so strong
so demanding

His tongue traces
across my lips
begging entry
and his hands caress my breast
oh so tenderly
gently
cuddling my nipple
between his fingers
Pinching just enough to bring
a gasp of pleasure

My back arches when his tongue
finds that nipple
suckling
gently at first

His need overpowers caution
and he bits down
hard
hard enough to
bring a cry from my lips

“I have waited so long
for you my dear.
Let me make you
have you
turn you,
please"?

I cry out;
Yes, please, please
Please.

He enters me
hard and hungrily
driving deep inside me.

He is so hard
so Ripe
so Rigid
so demanding

I feel his fangs against
my breast again
I beg him to do it.

He bites
drawing blood
fangs sinking
deep

Oh so deep

I cry out as he brings me
My nails digging deep
into his flesh
I feel his blood on my hands
running down my arms
as I hold him close to me.

He goes inside me
The pulse of his member
like a rhythmic heartbeat.
He fills me with his seed
as his mouth sucks the wound on my
breast

We lay beside each other
panting
bleeding
enjoying the moment.
He kisses me softly
while caressing my face
and coos
“Welcome home my queen”.

The Winter Queen

Sit down and listen
To a story of age
A tale of times forgotten
A legend that was made

Deep in wood he lived
A cabin he called home
All the creatures he loved
On the mountain where he roamed

Now one day it came
The sound of tiny bells
A mere murmur to fame
Wafting in the dells

Faint at first it gathered
These voices of the Fay
All of nature listened
At the setting of the day

Stood now the wise old man
And leaned upon the rail
Dancing lights around him ran
The sounds of ringing bell

"Silence!" Yelled the wizard true
"And tell me what you will
For you give me a headache you do
With your voices oh so shrill"

"Oh sorry wise old one
A silvery light sang out
For what our Queen has done
Makes us want to shout

The dragon now is dead
Slain by our Queen of White
Upon his hide the wolves have fed
Deep into the night"

"The dragon is he dead?
How is this to be?
All to keep his head
Before his might do flee"

"It is true wise one what I say
But if you must be sure
The Queen comes here today
On her way to oceans shore

She will tell you all
So ask her if you must
How she made the dragon fall
And ground him in the dust"

So wait the old man did
Late into the night
When at last the call he bid
To come and see the sight

There above the river mild
The Queen hovered in mist
Beneath her was her stead so wild
Chomping at the bit

Around her danced a thousand lights
Lighting all the dale
Ringing sounds of mock battle fights
And of how the dragon fell

Fierce were all the tales that night
Of valor bought with steal
Thunder was their might
And stout was their will

All around him danced the Fay so fair
Telling how the worm was felled
From the lances the men did bare
And how the maggot smelled

The White Queen looked down
Upon the Sage so old
Her face as beautiful as the dawn
Her eyes of shining gold

"It is said wise old man
You have questions of me
Of dragons blood soaked in sand
And how come I did not flee"

The wizard looked abashed
But he had to hear her say
So he went on and asked
How it went that day

"It is true Queen so fair
That I question how this be?
For the dragon is so dire
And all fall before his feet"

"Tell me this wise one"
The Queen said with a smile
"Are we not better off with this done,
And know peace for a while?"

"Yes it is true what you say
For better peace than dread
So tell me how it went this day"
And the Mage bowed his head

So the Queen answered his doubt
And pain stabbed his heart that day
For her words rang out
And they were not gay

"An army with me came
Warriors bright and fierce
To rid the world of guileless bane
And with lance his heart did pierce

Many died upon the field
Scorched by his breath
Many I could not heal
And I am marred by their death

I morn their loss this is true
For they were men of daring
So give them praise that is their due
For their memory is worth bearing"
